DreamPost ("we", "us", "our") provides a nightly personalised bedtime-story service. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

This service is purchased and managed by a parent or guardian. By signing up you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian (the "competent person" under POPIA) of the child, and you consent to us processing the limited child information above for the sole purpose of personalising and delivering bedtime stories. We collect only the minimum necessary and never build advertising or behavioural profiles of children.
We process your information to provide the service you signed up for and with your consent — specifically to create and personalise the nightly stories, deliver them by email, and let you manage or cancel your subscription.
Stories are written in advance and stored on our systems. Each night we simply insert your child's name and details into a ready-made story on our own infrastructure. Your child's personal information is never sent to any third-party AI or language model.
We use trusted service providers ("operators") only to run the service: email delivery, website hosting and database storage, email reply-forwarding (for support), and a payment provider (when you subscribe). These operators act on our instructions under confidentiality obligations. Some may process information outside South Africa (e.g. in the EU or US) under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your information.
We keep your information while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems — to protect your information.
You have the right to access the information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to processing, to withdraw consent, and not to receive unsolicited direct marketing. To exercise any of these, email hello@dreampost.co.za, or use the "Manage" link in any story email to update or cancel.
We only email you the bedtime stories you signed up for and essential service messages. Every email includes a link to pause or cancel. We will not send you other marketing without your consent.
